Arrive in Paro with a dramatic flight through the Himalayan mountains, offering your first unforgettable glimpse of Bhutan. After immigration, you'll be welcomed by your guide with a traditional "Kuzu zangpo lal". Drive about 1.5 hours to Thimphu, stopping en route at Tamchog Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple reached by an iron chain bridge-an iconic introduction to Bhutan's spiritual heritage. In Thimphu, check in to your hotel before visiting the serene Buddha Dordenma, overlooking the valley. From here, enjoy a gentle walk to Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the city's oldest temples, where locals come to pray and light butter lamps.. Spend the evening at leisure, with the option to explore local markets or stroll along Norzin Larn. Overnight: Thimphu

After breakfast, set out for a morning hike to Wangditse Lhakhang, a gentle trail through pine and rhododendron forests leading to a peaceful temple overlooking the Thimphu Valley and Tashichho Dzong. Later, begin a more challenging trek to Phajoding Monastery, one of Bhutan's highest monastic complexes, set at around 3,600 meters. The climb through forested trails rewards you with expansive views and a quiet encounter with monastic life.. Return to Thimphu to visit the Memorial Chorten, where locals gather in prayer, before ending the day at the vibrant Centenary Farmers Market, offering a glimpse into everyday Bhutanese life. Depart Thimphu early and drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 m), marked by 108 chortens and, on clear days, sweeping views of the eastern Himalayas. Descend toward Thinleygang village and walk a scenic stretch of the Trans Bhutan Trail, an ancient route once used by monks, traders, and messengers. The trail leads to Talo village. known for its traditional homes and flower-filled surroundings, offering a glimpse into rural Bhutanese life. Continue by road to Punakha, the former winter capital. Visit the impressive Punakha Dzong.. set at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers. Descend to visit Gangtey Monastery, a key seat of the Nyingma school, and explore the village to witness traditional farming and local life.
